Can anyone confirm a working App Store on iOS 6?
iPad 2 running iOS 6.1.3 and the app store wont load no matter what i do, However updates still works which makes me think apple may have dropped support.
Any Ideas?

Exactly. That would likely solve this for them.
Since they likely haven't update over the air in a LONG time, they will need to update using their home computer and iTunes.
They can use this link: Update your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support
Weird, there is a whole string of replies missing from weeks ago.
Anyway I found a work around, google the developer followed by "apple App Store" and use that link, its works best on another web browser but should work on safari if you clear history and cookies.
Good luck.
You should update your iPad 2 to iOS 9.3.5 by connecting to computer iTunes.
Maybe all of you here need to upgrade/update your iPads to their max iOS versions.
I have access to the App Store running IOS 5.0.1. Unfortunately there are very few apps, that are compatible with the older operating systems.
I brought my ipad down to 6.1.3 and the app store worked for about a day and then died and I can't get it back up.
Did fresh reinstall of 6.1.3 and now can't get to the store at all and lost all my apps in the process.
What legacy apps and why at this late stage are they still important to you?
You can't find any other apps that are similar to these ancient iOS 6 apps?
There have been no more recent updates of these apps?
This is kinda a poor excuse to stay on such an old iOS version for all of these years.
Does it matter?
This is the circumstance and I'm looking for ideas, I'm clearly not the only one who has this issue and regardless it's still a problem, the App Store is there and works I just can't access it, you can't tell me that's my fault for not upgrading.
Ah,
Yes we can.
But whatever.
If iOS 6 IS the problem and you eventually get sick of trying to find workarounds to get to the App store, maybe you will reconsider upgrading that device.
I think this is both foolishness and stubborness, on your part, but what do I or any of us know.
I have only been using these devices and have become very proficient and knowledgeable on these devices for the last 11 years.
You will keep having issues the longer you refuse to upgrade that device.
So be it then.
Yeah I should have mentioned I need to use iOS 6 for legacy apps.
I had same problem...who can handle this?
Same issue here. Updates are not working either. It says all apps are up to date? Each tab is blank. Did you have any success?
Never backed up that iPad ever to a computer with an older version of iTunes on it?
Still no successful access to App Store. Been about a month now. Any idea what to do without upgrading iOS?
I can still access the iOS App Store on my 2nd gen iPod Touch running iOS 4.2.1.
