Dark Horizontal Line on Display

Hello everyone,

I recently noticed this horizontal line towards the bottom of my MacBook Pro, at first I thought it was a bug, but it turns out it wasn't. What I realized is that the line becomes apparent when the laptop is heating up (3D Modeling, Gaming etc.) I would like to get it fixed ASAP, however shelling out a significant chunk of money to replace the whole screen for a problem that shouldn't exist seems unreasonable. Could this possibly get worse?

It is hard to say. If the laptop is out of warranty and the line doesn't get in the way, then I would leave it alone until it gets worse. Some issues may not get worse, but usually things get progressively worse over time. Keep in mind Apple drops official support five years after the model is last manufactured so if you want it repaired, do so before Apple drops official support for the laptop.
