exporting video off of an IPad air to a hard-drive

Hello, we are trying to export video (onto a separate external harddrive, which I know works through image capture). The video was recorded on an IPad air through the program "Switcher Pro", yet when we connect the ipad and turn on image capture, we cannot even access the videos. We only have access to 17 photos taken from the ipad itself. We really need to be able to free this space up off of the ipad.

The videos are also grayed over in the Ipad and un-clickable. How come apple products can't just be like a harddrive with click and drag feature to import/export?

If the video exists inside an app other than the Photos App and its camera roll, neither Image Capture nor Photos on the Mac will be able to see it.

If the Switcher App supports it, you may be able to use Itunes File Sharing to get the video out of the switcher pro app and onto the mac.
