Problems with WiFi and SMS on new iPhone XS

I have recently purchased an iPhone XS, and started having trouble logging onto the WiFi network at my office, error message ‘login password incorrect’ comes up but the password is correct. Every other WiFi network I log onto is fine.


Secondly, I have noticed that regular SMS’s I use to receive from my bank and delivery companies (notifying me of things like card usage and delivery status) have also stopped.


I'm struggling to understand what is the reason for these things. Any insight? Thanks!

Settings>WiFi....Tap, on the "i" in blue circle at right of that network, then tap on 1st option. When done, restart your iphone, then try to connect again. (if your device is working fine when connected to a different wifi network, problem is not related to your device).

Did you change your phone number? Shouldn't be this case, contact those banks / delivery companies and

check / test with them.

If you are trying to establish a link between your wifi issues and your SMS issues, there isn't one.


SMS messages travel over your carrier's voice network, not wifi. Are you in a spot in your building where your carrier connection is affected?


You should ask your office's IT support why you may be having issues accessing the work network.
