Can’t restore iPhone

My daughter reset her password yesterday and has no idea what she changed it to. The phone is no disabled and says to connect to iTunes. I have followed the steps for a restore but I never get the pop up in iTunes giving me the option to restore it. I can get the restore screen on the phone. After that I plug it in to the computer, get the notification sound that it has been detected but nothing shows up in iTunes.

If you forgot the passcode for your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch, or your device is disabled - Apple Support --> http://support.apple.com/HT204306


If it isn't working then you are not successfully getting it into Recovery Mode. Try again.
