My Itunes on IPhone begins to download a song but then stops

What to do about this ITune issue not allowing me to download songs all a sudden this past week?

Welcome to the Apple Support Communities! It's my understanding that you are unable to complete downloads in your iTunes Store, and I want to help. I'll position a few questions, along with a few steps to try out. I'll look forward to hearing back from you with the results.


Are you connected to Wi-Fi or cellular data when the downloads fail to complete? Are you able to access Safari and browse websites successfully when you notice this failure to download in iTunes?


If you isolate the issue to Wi-Fi, try these steps: If your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch won’t connect to a Wi-Fi network. If the issue is isolated to cellular data, try these steps instead: If you see No Service or Searching on your iPhone or iPad.


Is the issue with downloads not completing connected to a specific song or album only? If so, you'll want to report this issue for a solution to our iTunes Store Support team here: Apple - Support - Product Selection.


If this is happening for all content in the iTunes Store, and it happens over both cellular data and Wi-Fi, please make sure your iOS is up to date next: Update your iPhone. Then, try to Restart your iPhone, and test on a different Wi-Fi network to see if the issue follows.
