how to view iphone text messages at icloud backup online?

I will state 2 questions:

(1) I can't figure out how to view my "text messages" online at my backup on icloud.com (is that the correct website?).

Text messages should be backing up when iphone automatically backs up. Correct?

The main page for Icloud shows the various categories that are backed up. I don't see "messages".

(The Contacts and Photos selections are clearly there, which is good. I can view individual entries.)

Where does one go online to locate and view messages if the category is not provided?

(2) I am also reading that to re-store backed up messages from Icloud to iphone, one must RE-SET the whole phone? Is that true?

a- BUT, I don't want to re-store messages to iphone. I just want to view them online at website. Can I do that?

b- Is it possible to re-store specific text messages to iphone and not all?

I really hope I do not need to do a complete RE-SET of iphone to retrieve text messages.

(Makes me want to return to flipphone.)

Thank you very much.

Thank you very much.

but how disappointing. Just to find one important, old text exchange, one must restore a whole phone. And not to mention, have to deal with all the old messages that I already deleted in the past from iphone that I didn't need at all, and now would need to delete again after re-storing them. Crazy and really disappointing, and a lot of work.

Anyone know if this is something Apple is hearing about from users?
