Apple Pay on an Apple watch S4

Hi just got an Apple Watch. Managed to pair ok, however following the instructions with Apple Pay which says to press the side button twice, nothing seems to be happening, can anyone help

If the card is in your wallet on iPhone you also have to add it again in wallet on the watch app under wallet and Apple Pay
