Apple Watch not connecting to iPhone XR

I upgraded over the weekend to iPhone XR. I traded in my old phone and had it wiped completely before turning it in. I also have wiped my Apple Watch clean to factory settings. When I go to pair the two together, my phone asks for a 6 digit passcode from my Apple Watch to pair. My watch is not pulling up any passcode, it only shows me the Apple Watch number to select my Apple Watch for manual pairing (the camera pairing did not work after multiple attempts) which does come up, but when I select it, it asks for the passcode from my Apple Watch which is not pulling up. The attached image is what my watch currently has on it. If I click the i, all it says is the Apple Watch number to connect to.
