Deleting Apple Music profile (not subscription)

Hi,

If I choose to delete my Apple Music profile (still keeping my subscription), will I be able to create a profile again in the future and will my friends that I had added previously still be there or will I have to add them again?

Thank you.

Hello M_s_123,

Thanks for asking the Apple Support Communities for help with your Apple Music profile.

This article talks about this: See what friends are listening to in Apple Music - Apple Support

"When you delete your profile, your user handle and music activity clear from Apple Music, but your Apple Music subscription isn't affected. If you shared a playlist with a friend and they saved it to their device, the playlist disappears. Your library and playlists don't change."

Are you aware that you have an option to put your activity and playlists private as an alternative to deleting? Check the section titled "Control who sees what you share"

If you choose to delete your profile, since you will be severing these connections, I expect that you will need to re-set up the profile, just like you did the first time, including connecting with your friends, etc., if you decide to set this up again. Thanks and have a wonderful day.
