apple pay incorrect information

when i was verifying my age for apple pay, i accidentally clicked next when it appeared (i’m used to my birthday already being input correctly from prior account verifications) but just before the screen changed i saw it was some random day and year. in the help article it says you may have to close your account and open a new one. how is this done since i am unable to backtrack and correct my birthday information?

this does not help, as you’re only restating what it says in the apple support article, and i asked HOW to do it. i asked for clarification, not copy-pasting. please don’t insult me like i didn’t read the article. if you know how to fix this, tell me in your own typed words. if you don’t, tell me that or tell me that it can’t be fixed and i’ll go on my merry way

What if you enter the wrong information

Try to verify your identity again. When you verify again, we might ask for your driver's license or state ID.

  1. Go to your card info:
    • iPhone: Open the Wallet app, tap your Apple Cash card, then tap  .
    • iPad: Open the Settings app, tap Wallet & Apple Pay, then tap your Apple Cash card.
    • Apple Watch: Open the Apple Watch app, tap Wallet & Apple Pay, then tap your Apple Cash card.
  1. Tap Verify Identity. If you don't see this option, contact us. You might need to close your account and open a new one.
  2. Follow the onscreen steps.
