Hello,
My Time Machine is no longer backing up. It hangs on “Preparing To Back up”
I saw some articles saying delete the “inProgress” file which I did. I emptied the trash which took some work but the problem persists.
Im running OS 10.13.6. Everything is up to date. Has anyone experienced this?

Disable Time Machine by adding all drives to the exclusion pane, use Disk Utility to Repair both drives, setup TM again.
I’m actually doing it right now.
I am ran first aid on both drives.
I restarted and now trying for a Backup.
Its saying Prepping Backup for several minutes. How many minutes would you say are too many to prep and then I know I didn’t fix it.
Ill wait it out.
