iPad not charging

iPad not charging

Hi -

My iPad Pro 11 will not charge. I tried different cables, adapters, etc. No luck.

Then I did a factory reset and it started charging ok.

Then I restored from my iCloud backup and got the same problem: not charging.

Any ideas / suggestions would be much appreciated.

From what you have said, I think you have two options.

Restore the iPad again but don’t restore the backup for a while. Don’t do anything critical that you will need to save, or at the very least content that you don’t mind losing. If the iPad charges, I would say that you have an issue with the backup and that you will simply need to start over and not use the backup.
This may be number 1, depending on your circumstances. Take to iPad to an Apple Store or an authorized service provider and let them evaluated it.

Thanks. I was thinking of perhaps deleting the last apps I had installed but I’m not sure there’s any point in doing that as they are supposed to be sandboxed.

I also turned now USB accessories to on.

Well, I now have a bit more to add:

I’ve discovered that after a complete restore, the iPad stops charging after I sign in to my iCloud account, and I turn the power off and then back on.

After that, it stops charging.

Could it ibe a hardware problem? I wonder.
