Download music onto Ipod shuffle

Hello, I have an Ipod shuffle that I never opened. I finally decided to use it but I don't know how to download my music from iTunes onto the Ipod. Does anyone know how to download my iTunes onto the Ipod shuffle? Is it still possible to download the music onto this old technology?
