Alert with question mark boxes

I keep getting an alert box that pops up with the App Store logo on it, but all the text is boxes with questions marks in them. I have a MacBook Pro running Mojave version 10.14.2. What is this and what should I do?

You probably deactivated, or removed System fonts required by the dialog. Font Book : File menu : Restore Standard Fonts… .
