Weird Screen Time Report

The total time spent on a phone of a family member is not reported correctly. The sum of categories is way shorter than the total time spent, but you can‘t figure out why.

What we already know is, that Screen Time seems to count websites twice (so if there‘s a limit on youtube (the website, not the App!), you‘ll see the time spent on the site and the time in Safari. This is summed up and yields to false results.

This time there seems to be another effect (see screenshot attached). Any hints or ideas? Thanks in advance!

You will understand that such claims can only be understood by what you are saying. It cannot be validated as we have no clue of what you have used or how you have used.

I have personally checked usage vs report multiple times to ascertain the capabilities of the feature and found to be accurate all the time.

I would recommend and check over a longer period of time. I am sure you will find the feature to be useful.

Don‘t get me wrong. Screen Time is helpful! But I want to use it to find out, what apps are the most I use and where to put focus on in setting limits. But I can‘t when there is already limits and still it seems that I‘m using the phone too often.

Please have a look at the clip you posted. Even in this example you see a difference in the sum of reported categories (32m+29m+24m = 1h25m) and the total used time reported (2h38m)! I attached a screenshot of the clip for reference. Please elaborate! What app consumed the difference of 1h13m?
