All of a sudden my Safari windows are showing in the dock when I minimize them. I just finished Time Machine restore and somewhere along the line I think a Safari update ran. I am running 12.1.2.

If you clicked the yellow button at the top left of the window, based on my experience, that is normal.
Nope, didn't do it. Like I said, restored system, updated Safari. Safari initially opened to a single window so I did a "Restore all Windows from Last Session." Everything opened correctly, except now all the minimized windows are showing in the dock and it's all scrunched up. I've never seen this behavior.
so here's a thought/question. Before the system restore I had a lot of icons in my dock (Safari being one of them). After the restore the dock was less crowded. Is it possible that I had just maxed out the dock and there wasn't room for Safari windows? (If this is "normal" behavior for Safari I don't like it, btw.)
I have never seen anything that overcrowded the Dock so much that it prevented additions to the Dock. That potentially happen I guess, but I've never seen it.
You obviously haven't seen my dock!! I may try to confirm with Apple, but I think the mystery is solved. Thanks for responding.
