Malware on macos, DetectX & how to check what Library folders are "legit"

Hi, I've been looking in my Library folder and I saw some files that are edited yesterday that I have no clue what they are and can't find anything on the web about these weird file names either.

Talking about:

  • ~/Library/SILuG
  • ~/Library/snowplowEvents.sqlite
  • ~/Library/squawking_Cladothrix

The middle one seems to be some kind of data analysis tracker that I don't want (https://snowplowanalytics.com).

I tried DetectX to find malware but it didn't. But then I wondered, how do I know DetectX is legit?! Maybe it poses as a security tool and IS the ACTUAL malware!

So is my macos still healthy? How do I know?

Any good info appreciated, thanks.
