can't format my time machine external drive.

I got a Seagate 1 TB external drive and I partitioned it into two sections, one being used by Time Machine. But currently I erased the section for Time Machine and it became "unformatted" and can't be be formatted.

Reformat the parent drive and start over.


Disk Utility>View>Show All Devices.
