Pages

Hello All,


For the last 4 hours I have been experiencing a problem with Pages.


The message is 'Pages has stopped responding', can anyone advise how I can fix

this issue as I am trying to finish up a project.

Another one of those vague Pages messages… Is this Pages v8.1, or Pages '09 v4.n, and what specific version of Mojave?


  1. Menu : About This Mac
  2. Pages : About Pages


If the application appears to be frozen now, press option+command+esc (Force Quit), select Pages from the pop-up list, and click the Force Quit button. Press the shift key when you next launch Pages — then reopen the previous document.


Note: Pages '09 v4.3 will not function with Mojave 10.14.0 thru 10.14.4, but resumes working with Mojave 10.14.5.

No, it wasn't your reply that was vague, but rather the one from Pages itself. Is this a repeatable problem? Where is the Pages document located — on your startup drive, or on a cloud service?


Are you running any anti-virus, or so-called "Mac cleaner" software?


Describe your Pages workflow (how you are using it). What were you doing when you received that Pages message?
