iTunes Match not uploading/recognizing my new music or playlists

I've been using iTunes Match for several years. New music added to my library has usually been recognized and/or uploaded in iTunes Match in the past. This functionality is not now working. I've added several cds recently and they are not being made available in iTunes match. Please advise.

I was seeing no iCloud reference; but now I think I figured it out. In Edit menu, under preferences, you can select to enable iCloud storage. This feature had been disabled at some time and I was unaware. Music and playlists are now uploaded or matched in the iCloud. Problem solved.
