Is there a way to stream iTunes purchased video content (TV shows, movies) to iPhone or iPad?

I thought there was, but can't find it now.

It just makes sense; that way you don't have to store it on your device.

You can't stream it. But if an iPad is running the same Apple ID, you can just launch movies or shows from it.

I found out why I could Home Share ... my TV app was not using the Home Sharing account.
