iPad disconnecting WiFi

Yesterday my iPad started disconnecting from my WiFi every time I turn it off. A new security measure or did I do something that I can correct?

Hi Handywolf35,

Welcome to Apple Support Communities. It sounds like you're being prompted to reconnect to a Wi-Fi network after powering on your iPad. I'd be happy to provide a few troubleshooting steps.

First, if you have a different Wi-Fi network that you're able to access, try restarting your iPad while connected there and see if you remain connected or if your Wi-Fi disconnects. That will help isolate the problem to the network or to your iPad.

Next, try restarting your router and cable or DSL modem. You also may want to check to see if your router has any firmware updates.

If you're still being disconnected when you restart your iPad, then you'll want to reset the network settings. Here are the steps: tap Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings. This also resets Wi-Fi networks and passwords, cellular settings, and VPN and APN settings that you’ve used before.

I hope these steps help! Take care.
