Why is my watch not displaying lengths whilst pool swimming

Why is my watch not displaying lengths whilst pool swimming since update 5.2.1 ? It was working fine before the update and still shows total lengths when you complete the workout

apple watch during swimming When I'm swimming my Apple Watch asks if it should start counting, but I can tap the screen all I want: it doesn't respond. What do I do wrong?

Reset your Watch by pressing in the crown and side button until you see the Apple logo, then release both.
