How to unlock an ipad

NOPE. You are the proud owner of a completely useless device. You, along with about 10 or more people come here every single day asking for help because they threw their hard earned money away by purchasing used (often stolen) devices, which are Activation Locked and can never be unlocked by anyone other than the owner who put the lock on the device. Apple will NOT help you. We CANNOT help you. Unless you can find the owner who put the lock on the device (virtually impossible to do, if you don't know them), you can NEVER use the iPad.

Your options are as follows:

1. Find the previous owner
2. Return the device to whoever you purchase it from for refund
3. Recycle the device responsibly
4. Use it as a paperweight

If this iPad is Activation Locked, without the help or info from the previous owner, that iPad is completely useless to you.

Since you are not this iPad’ s original owner, Apple will not help you with defeating/deactivating the Activation Lock, either.

That iPad is a non-functional electronic paperweight/serving tray to you, now.

This is the sad truth/reality e v e r y s i n g l e d a y!

I do feel bad for these people who think they're getting such a great deal. Too bad they don't think to come here and do some research before parting with their money.
