HomePods are not in sync with iTunes movies or YouTube videos?

HomePods are working great for music, but not at all for video. iPhone videos can’t be played to HomePods at all, and iTunes movies and YouTube videos are out of sync with the audio from the HomePods.

I expected better...a lot better. Are others having these video issues?
