I want to track my MacBook Pro using my serial number

MacOS provides a number of tools for tracking your missing computer, PROVIDED you previously tied it into your Apple-ID. They are loosely called "Find My Mac".

Tracking by serial number is not one of these, and pre-announced enhancements coming up appear to be even more helpful, but are not headed in the direction of Serial number -- only Apple-ID.
