iPhone storage capacity is a constant issue

My iPhone storage capacity is a constant issue no matter how many photos & videos I delete, but still the same error msg. It’s very annoying & prevents me from properly using my device. But when I check my icloud it shows I have more than 150 x the storage to play around with. Why won’t my phone simply upload everything to my icloud??

PLEASE RESPOND ASAP

Cloud is a syncing system, not an external hard drive. Everything in iCloud is also on your phone. To increase space available, go Settings/Your Name/iCloud/Photos and select Optimize iPhone/iPad Storage. That will reduce the space required by about 90% when fully effective.

For what you want to do, you need a different cloud based solution such as Dropbox, OneDrive, or Flicker.
