USB drive - formatted MS-DOS FAT32

This USB drive contains videos and will not open on my MACBook Pro.

I know with data files finder opens and I can access the files, but nothing is displayed when I insert this drive.

Any answers anyone?

Hey there!!

In your specific situation if you are referring to why the USB drive will not appear in Finder as an external drive it is likely due to the format you have it in.

Generally, Finder will only recognize and open drives that are using Apple File System (APFS): or Mac OS Extended. Your current format is a Windows-compatible format and may not be recognized. Does it show up in Disk Utility?
