Rosetta Stone V3 Input mic not working under MAC MOJAVE

I even ordered a new headset but cannot get the input mic to work beyond once every 10 times or so. MIC set up seems to work perfectly. Help!

The headphone mic was always working on every device I had but just until recently it stop working on my macbook. The micophone doesnt show up on the "input" in sounds. Why won't my mic work when I connect my onikuma k9 headset to my Mac The input for sound doesn't even show the usb as a option when I connect it. I tried other troubleshooting steps still not working. The usb devise does not show up at all.

Further to the above, i can get voice recognition to work now only if i turn microphone OFF and then ON again on my wired USB headset before each phrase spoken...
