Installing Adobe FlashPlayer

I keep receiving notifications that I need to update my Adobe Flash Player. I click where it says "Download Now". I have done that at least 3 or 4 times today. But I keep getting the notifications.

What am I missing?

They are more often than not attempts to get you to install

malware on your computer which can be designed to actually

be destructive or clandestine as to relay everything you do or

simply pummel you with adware.

If you installed any of those downloads you could be in trouble.

Never ever install anything unless you explicitly go to the vendor

of the app, in the case Adobe, and download it from there. Or, in the

case of Adobe Flash, you have a System Preference panel to actually

verify if you originally installed Flash from the Adobe site.
