If you are actively involved in creating and maintaining projects, have you considered purchasing MS Project for Mac directly from Microsoft? ... or if you already have an Office 365 subscription, use Microsoft Planner? ... or are you just looking for an inexpensive alternative?
Gotcha. Looks like ria36 has already provided you with a link to an article for that. I would start there. The key is if you need any of these alternatives to work with MS Project files ... some may not. Good luck!
