Square root vertical formatting of Greek letter mu divided by Greek letter epsilon looks bad

The space between the horizontal line of a root symbol and the Greek letter mu is too small in the equation of the square root of Greek letter mu divided by Greek letter Epsilon. The result from Keynote using LaTeX is show on the left below. If I replace the mu with the letter M is looks okay, but the Greek letter mu looks out of balance. The equation on the right is what I'm looking for and came from MathType long ago.

MathType installs math fonts that will play heavily in the formation of its equation appearance. The equation editor in Keynote, has no such math fonts and is restricted by the blahtex conversion and its limited TeX keyword support.


The following was created in Keynote 9.1 using the built-in equation editor:
