iPhone XR Extremely loud white noise from speaker

I purchased my iPhone XR a week ago. Beginning today while I was talking on the phone with a wireless earbud, this extremely loud static noise started coming through my earpiece. I took it out of my ear and it stopped about 5 seconds later. During the same call about 10 minutes later, it happened again. This time it took about 7-8 seconds to stop. I turned off my earbud, which ended the call, and I called back using the speaker phone option. It happened again two more times from the speaker in the span of about 10 minutes. Each time, it lasted about 7-10 seconds. The other end heard nothing, but the sound could be heard throughout the house. Anyone else have this issue?
