Wireless backup for MacBook Pro

Is there a way to wirelessly backup my MacBook Pro (2019) using time machine without plugging in an external hard drive? Basically I’m looking for something like the Airport Time Capsule that will continuously and effortlessly back up my Mac wirelessly. Thanks.

Time Machine Backups My AirPort base station / Time Capsule is at end-of-life and I need another backup option that's NOT in the cloud. I have a 2021 iMac M1 as well as an older MacBook that need backups. I'm currently manually backing up with a Lacie USB-C 2TB SSD. Is there a way to configure this so that both the iMac and MacBook can back up to the Lacie as seamlessly as they did with the Time Capsule or am I stuck getting a plain old NAS device?

Time Machine alternative to Time Capsule Not sure where to post this. I'm asking for my brother. He has an old Time Capsule (1TB). He now has several MacBook Pros in his house. He is looking for a good wifi backup solution using Time Machine. Looks like Apple no longer sells Time Capsule. I don't thin his is upgradable to add more storage. I assume he will need 3 or 4 TB for their 3 laptops. What do you all recommend. The are all running Catalina. I assume backing up to iCloud would be too expensive? Thanks

Yes, and that is what the Time Capsule is designed for. However, you should be aware that Apple got out of the networking hardware business. You can still find them, but you will need to shop around as Apple no longer sells them.
