I have a Macbook Air 2017 and Iphone 5s. When Im trying to charge Iphone from my Macbook (with lightning) it doesent work. Iphone either charges or it doesent. But it works when plugging to outlet. And Macbook easily charge other phones on Android. It only doesent work with Iphone (but I havent checked other Iphones yet, I used only mine).
