HDMI-CEC

Can apple tv to chiose ONLY turn on TV or receiver and automatically switch to the correct HDMI, but dont turn off when apple tv on dvale?

Maybe can change the setting, so I can choise to turn both on and off or only on in setting?

Apple TV Incompatibility With Samsung TV Why can't the new Apple TV 4K turn off my Marantz receiver and/or TV? The cheapo Firestick can. And yes HDMI-CEC are on via the TV and the receiver. The Apple TV can't see the TV regardless of wether it is plugged into my receiver or directly to the TV. I can use IR to control sound on the receiver but that's it. Connections are done via Ethernet however TV is not connected at the moment. It's frustrating to buy high end equipment that can not communicate with other high end equipment. Apple is an amazing company in so many ways but it's the simple things It often misses.

That depends on how the other devices (TV or receiver) handle HDMI-CEC; it is not the same for all models. Unfortunately, HDMI-CEC only has an on|off setting, it has no configurable options.
