Apple watch cellular purchased in US, does it work in India

Does the cellular feature of Apple watch (which is purchased in USA) work with cellular providers in India? This is about Apple watch series 4 cellular + GPS model.

No, it will not. The Apple Watch cellular is regional, and you would have to use a watch purchased in India. The US watch cannot be activated on cellular in India.

Here is a list of carriers that support the Apple Watch, the model numbers they support, and the cellular radio frequencies each model supports. You will notice that the U.S. frequencies do not match the ones used in India:
