Suggested password in apps

On my iPhone when I used a suggested password within an app it does not save it under passwords. It seems like only passwords created in Safari are saved.

This seems like a major flaw and has caused me to reset passwords many times...

how to turn off suggested password on safari and not auto fill password? Someone asked a similar question to mines and it wasn’t answered correctly. We want to know how can we still keep out auto fill password while having SUGGESTED password turned off? Someone attempted to answer the question but didn’t. They basically said that you can’t turn off suggested whole using auto fill which is not true. I have a iPhone XR and a iPhone 11 and my 11 doesn’t give me suggested passwords and never did only my XR. If you have an answer for us please help because it is really irritating to have a extra long password come up when I’m trying to either create a new one or enter my old one.

My Apple proposed password is not always saved When I choose to use the Apple proposed password as a new password for a website or an app it’s not always saved.

Do iPhones save passwords from apps I’ve had many iPhones through the years and have never been able to figure out how to get them to automatically save new App passwords. It works fine if I’m using safari on a website but when I download an app and have to make a new account it doesn’t offer to save it for me so I have to go enter it in through settings if I want to save it. Anyone know how to get it to save for me?

Tap on Settings

Tap on your name (top of settings)

Tap on icloud

Is keychain on?

Also check in Settings, Passwords and Accounts, Website and app passwords and see if the app in in there.
