Logic Pro X 10.4.6 Flex Pitch Issues

When using flex pitch to correct the pitch on vocal tracks, I sometimes hear little pops and crackles that were not there before. I've been calling them "blips". These blips are so bad that it renders the vocal track useless. The only way to get rid of the them, as of now, is to undo all of my pitch corrections, which is making flex pitch useless to me.

Also, when looking at the part of the track that is "blipping", I usually see a tiny note that is several notes higher or lower than the rest. I've been doing some research on what these little notes could be, and they might be called "artifacts". If that is the case, these "blips" and "artifacts" seem to occur at the same time, but I have no idea what is causing either.

I love logic pro x, and until I started having this issue (which seems to be getting worse) I loved flex pitch. I'd like to keep using both. Can anyone help me diagnose this issue? Please and Thank you!

In your picture, Flex detected part of a word as one octave higher which can often occur due to changing balance of formants in the source. Usually this does not create audible artifacts.

However, I found artifacts to occur frequently when going from unchanged to changed pitch, or the other way round. The cure is to also shift the unchanged portions by just 1 cent, so all notes are changed.
