clearing data on a phone you no longer have access to

I recently shattered my old phone causing the screen to break/stop working and am selling the broken one, but to sell it I want to erase the data even though I no longer can physically go into the phone, is there another way I could remove all of my iCloud and Apple ID info externally without needing to go through settings etc.?
