Editing the title I gave a photo

I made mistakes while entering the title for a few photos (top line where you can type a name to display instead of the file name) - some typos and some where the person is given the wrong name- and I can't figure out how to go back and delete or edit the incorrect file name I put in. Is it possible to do or will I have to live with the bad titles forever?

What version of Photos and system are you running?


With Photos 4 the file name is shown below the thumbnail as long as you have Titles selected in the View ➙ Metadata menu option:


You can double click on the Title field in the Info pane for that photo and edit it as you would any text:


Or click on the incorrect title below the thumbnail and edit it there:
