Apple Global Warranty

If I buy a Mac Book Pro in Hong Kong, but i later use it in India- will the warranty be global? If I have any issues with the machine in India will the Apple warranty (issued in Hong Kong) be applicable in India? So I can avail of anything that comes under warranty conditions of replacement/repair?

I live in India, but am thinking of buying the macbook from US (as it is much cheaper there), what I wanted to know was that if I buy it from there, can I get it fixed in India. Yes. The warranty on Macs is global.

Thanks Neil. An Apple dealer here in India told me it's not. Maybe so that I buy from there.
