Forgot password on child account
We forgot password to child’s family account. How to we change it?
Because for child account registered we must use @icloud.com for email, therefore I can't use email to recover her password and also we have no clue regards the secret question.
If the steps in the article below don’t work, contact Apple ID Support, although I’m not sure they will help. There have been posts that state Apple ID Support will no longer help reset security questions.
Apple ID - If you forgot the answers to your Apple ID security questions
Enter the Apple (iCloud) ID and click Forgot Password.
Apple Support by e-mail or chat Work through the screens to get a chat option. You may need to pick a problem that is slightly different than yours to get a chat option.
Or fill out and submit this form. The form is for iTunes, but it will get passed to the ID Support section.
Apple Support are able to help reset security questions & passwords for Apple IDs as long the Apple ID in question doesn't have two factor authentication enabled, if it does have 2 factor authentication enabled it won't have security questions anyway and you will need to follow the steps at iforgot.apple.com to reset the password. Lastly you can't chat or email Apple Support for an Apple ID security issue you need to call them using your local support phone number from this link. https://support.apple.com/en-au/HT201232
P.S Apple Support are more than happy to walk you through the process to reset your Apple ID password even if it has two factor authentication enabled, they just obviously can't do it for you.
