Syncing my phone messages to my MacBook Pro

First, follow these steps to use your phone number with iMessage: Add or remove your phone number in Messages or FaceTime - Apple Support

If you can't sign in to your iMessage account or FaceTime on your Mac - Apple Support

After you're able to use iMessage with your Mac, you can then set up text message forwarding on your iPhone to receive SMS/MMS messages on your Mac: Use Continuity to connect your Mac, iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, and Apple Watch - Apple Support

You can also use Messages in iCloud: Keep all your messages in iCloud - Apple Support
