2019 4K iMac FaceTime camera dark

Not sure if this is from bad design but trying to FaceTime in daylight yields are dark image.

Interestingly, if I put my finger on the green indicator (this is where then light sensor is,I imagine) the image brightens to what should be the normal brightness in day light!

Yes I played with Adjust Brightness in Displays prefs to no avail. Actually keep it off as the display brightens/darkens without change in ambient light.

Apple, please re-allow Ecamm's iGlasses to work with FaceTime!!

Hello,

Are you experiencing these darkness issues with just FaceTime or any application that uses the FaceTime camera, such as Photoboot, QuickTime, etc..? When you say you are using your iMac’s FaceTime camera in daylight are you using it inside or outside?

Inside the home, the image is dark in FaceTime, Photo Booth, and Quicktime. It's as if the green indicator causes the sensor to think there's too much light thus darkening the image.

Will send Apple feedback wrt iGlasses.
