GarageBand sampling

I have an Alesis VI49 and it has 16 drum pads as well as 49 keys.... is there a way to load samples onto the different pads separately (ex. pad 1 is a kick, pad 2 is a snare, etc) i don't want pitch change i want SEPARATE pads. and not he preset drummers, i want to be able to load sounds that i choose onto specific pads... is there ANY way to do this on Garageband? or on any other DAW

Drum Replacement/Doubling with my own samples Hi! I've used the feature "Drum Replacement/Doubling" feature for a long time and really love it to beef up kicks, or compliment poorly recorded drums. Recently I found some great drum sample recordings that I want to use with the "Control + D" command. I should be able to load my own samples and organize by different drums and dynamics in to the "Sampler" plugin, right? If this is not the case I would appreciate some other alternatives to augment drums with samples in a similar fashion, third-party plugins are also an option if stock Logic doesn't do it! Thanks!

Where to find Logic "Drum Kit" samples I'm using a Logic Drum Kit (in this case, "SoCal"). Note: This is not to be confused with an "Electronic Drum Kit", which is a different top-level category in the Logic Sound Library. Anyway, I'd like to load these samples into an Electronic Drum Kit, but don't know where to locate these samples. Any advise would be appreciated. Thanks.

Not Garageband. Logic should be able to do this
