Macbook pro 9,2 in UEFI mode

Hello everyone, today I decided to reset my computer and reinstall my bootcamp and sadly I got into a little pickle, of you did not know yet macbook pro 9,2’s are suppost to be in legacy mode for most of the drivers. Could someone help me with getting this macbook back to Legacy bios mode? Thanks, Kilted.

  • You will need to use BC Assistant to remove the current EFI installation first.
  • Reset SMC and NVRAM.
  • Once removed, use a USB2 (not USB3) Flash drive, create Create+Download+Install and follow prompts.
  • Your Mac is a preUEFI Mac.
  • If you are on Mojave, you will need to first use Create+Download.
  • Use Disk Utility to create a FAT32 partition of the size you want Windows to be.
  • You will need to use GPT Fdisk to create a hybrid MBR manually.
  • You can now connect the USB2 , and select the Windows (not EFI) icon and try to install Windows.
