Back camera Flash terrible quality

So Ive been an apple fanatic for awhile now...and here recently I have been questioning why I still stick with my apple products as it seems the newest versions/products continue to get worse instead of better. So I take lots of pictures on my iPhone and that has always been my favorite thing about my iPhone was the camera quality. It was great. Notice i said Was. I had the iphone 7plus for years and the camera was AMAZING!!! I now have the xs max and.. well.... not so amazing. *mind you, im talking about the camera FLASH on this one, I could complain about all the downfalls of this phone (there is a lot) but I wont. Just the back camera flash..for now.*

Its bad. Super grainy. Super unrealistic. Super.... ugly. Sorry, Apple, but I am disappointed. And its only with the back flash. The pictures I take Without the flash, from what I can tell, seem to come out ok-ish normal. But thats still not acceptable. Ive never had this problem with any other iphone. And ive had a lot. Example of what Im talking about below.. not expecting an answer from apple as I know multiple other iPhone x users who have the same problem.. also my phone is completely up to date on the newest iOS. It has always been like this. Ive had the phone for 7 months. ((((If you cant tell what im talking about look at my dogs..this pic look normal? Its every time ! Apple~ please fix this issue before Im forced to switch to....... an ANDROID!!!?!?!!

No idea what you're referring to. As someone who's been in professional digital retouching for almost 40 years, I can say there's nothing grainy about this shot at all.

Real grain comes from film. The higher the ISO, the more grain you'll see. "Grain" in digital photos comes from electronic noise. That is generated by taking a photo without enough light, setting the faux ISO (sensitivity of the sensor) too high, or a combination of both. The small flash on a smartphone isn't enough to overcome most dark environments. It simply isn't big enough, or bright enough.

What is evident is the very slow shutter speed, which caused the blurring motion of the dog's movements. Add to that, insufficient lighting, and the JPEG compression becomes more evident. That compression is pretty high on any smartphone. Saves space, but sacrifices detail, even on a well lit shot.

In short, switching to a different smartphone won't change the results of bad lighting. But it's your money, spend it however you wish.
