As far as I can tell...
fpsd seems to be a demon that is part of Apple’s CoreFP subsystem, which apparently implements Apple’s FairPlay Digital Rights Management (DRM), which I believe is used for iTunes video (both streaming and downloads) and Apple Music (both streaming and downloads, presumably.)

Sorry, no Adobe anything installed.
if you highlight that process in Activity Monitor & click on the tiny i icon, does that give clues?
_fpsd is a normal OSX user, in Terminal...
dscl . list /Users | grep -v “^_”
LOL, never noticed, both are on my Mac too.
Clicking on Statistics there, then Sample in the next window, I get lots of...
libLAPACK.dylib (1211.50.2) /System/Library/Frameworks/Accelerate.framework/Versions/A/Frameworks/vecLib.framework/Versions/A/libLAPACK.dylib
libLinearAlgebra.dylib (1211.50.2) /System/Library/Frameworks/Accelerate.framework/Versions/A/Frameworks/vecLib.framework/Versions/A/libLinearAlgebra.dylib
So it is to do with Floating Point operations.
You’re running Apple software here; an Apple software daemon. No big deal.
if you’re into researching this sort of stuff, you’re headed for trouble, as anything running a daemon is already got substantial—quite possibly complete—access to your Mac. If this is malware spoofing a name (and it very likely isn’t malware), you’re already roast.
YES!! "BDAqua" Thank you Thank You, been dealing with it for days.
also thank you Mr. Hoffman for your input.
So you have the fpsd user also, this a just small part i got when I click on Statistics:
Binary Images:
0x1040dc000 - 0x104270ffb adid (4.19) <FC2CF85B-F9E9-302E-8FB0-1DEE4BA24650> /System/Library/PrivateFrameworks/CoreADI.framework/adid
0x10f3aa000 - 0x10f3f4acf dyld (551.5) <30B355CB-35BA-3112-AA76-4E46CD45F699> /usr/lib/dyld
0x7fff4af22000 - 0x7fff4af22fff com.apple.Accelerate (1.11 - Accelerate 1.11)

OK, good luck. :)
On Activity Monitor is listed as Process name adid and as _fpsd user
I keep implement force quit but keeps reopening minutes later
I did not have this user before.. BDAqua do you have adobe Acrobat Pro install? Any relationship to this adid name?
I click on i icon and gave me this
a file in:
System/Library/PrivateFrameworks/CoreADI.framework/Versions/A/adid
